In 2011, Micah and I moved from South Dakota to Colorado. We found that Lakewood, Colorado had what we were looking for – close to downtown Denver and a short drive to the mountains.

A couple of years later we bought a house in Lakewood. We both knew we needed space for a garden. Slowly we started building raised garden beds in our suburban backyard. Micah and I skied in the winter and gardened, hiked, and camped in the summer with our beagle, Scout.

Not long ago we added a new family member, our son Alex. Having a baby (and now a toddler) has changed how we do almost everything! I envision us slowing introducing Alex to all Colorado has to offer; the skiing, camping, hiking and more.
